A special thanks to Geof Tucker, DMV and assistant Melissa for their “Equine dentistry without drama“.

Yes, indeed as soon as I had explained that my marvelous lusitano mare was fine on the bit on the first day but usually on the second or third day she showed signs of sensitivity expressed by some “resistance of force” and this to some degrees although I used light elastic contact in the hands (which I'll say was the reason I ride in a bitless most of the time resulting her to go  nicely enjoying the suppling work in whichever order I wish)
Without seeing my horse Geof said she could have flabby cheeks and after checking her his diagnostic revered to be right.

You may check his little stories he writes while he and Melissa travels through out the country practicing without drama on this site : http://www.equinedentistrywithoutdrama.com/2008/12/equine-dentistry-the-importance-of-flabby-cheeks/
