Dear all, I feel very excited to post the very first message in this section. The aim of creating this new forum was not to avoid the translation work of the French speaking part but rather to provide to all non French speaking person a place to express their opinion. If we manage to find a solution for long term, sustainable translations of the French section, we'll certainly do it! At least, waiting for this "perfect world" we have a "little home sweet home" to express ourselves about our main concern: lightness!
I would be very curious to hear about you, about your feeling concerning this initiative. Actually, I am waiting a rush on the keyboards!

PS: When waiting anxiously for an answer to your post do not forget that USA and Europe watches are not indicating the same time! There is 3 hours difference between East and West Coast and 6-7 hours (if I am wrong please correct me) difference between Europe (Paris) and East Coast. If it is 12 AM in Paris, it is only 6 AM in New York.

The initiative is "brand new", people need to get accustomed to it and English speaking people were "neglected" for a while by the lack of translation of the French corner! That's the reason why I sent the message to all foreign coordinators so that they spread the message. I also made a bit of advertisment on Ultimate Dressage. Let's cross the fingers and let's hope it will take off!

Cheers

Dear Vincent,
I must say that,to my shame,I do not speak French and in December '06 had felt that so much was passing me by,and that I could not contribute in any way to Allege that I would have to say au revoir as it concerned my membership.Imagine my delight, then, when I saw this English section.I made an immediate subscription for 2007.
I would thank you for your involvement in this section as a moderator. It is very much appreciated by Anglophones such as myself. As a source of education it is invaluable, and I'm sure more will become involved from those who have been lost.In the meantime I will try to learn French;or perhaps I'm too old.
Thank you,again,
Sandy Dunlop.

Thank you, Sandy, for supporting this association and for your interesting interventions on this forum.I am required to judge in BC the middle of May. Perhaps I will be happy to meet you again on that occasion.

Sandy, it is such disappointments that more people are not searching for "lightness". I really do feel that many people with "closed" knowledge would get a better feeling, coming here and asking questions and trying to find something more than the 4 walls around them.......

I think that the time for the "push and pull" is ready to be challenged? I am sorry, but this is what I see so much of. Many people are afraid to "let go"........why because they do not understand the concept of self carriage? I only hope that people that read this forum, read books from the French School, and can understand that there are many roads that lead to Rome...

Dear Sandy,

Welcome on board again! It was a terrible gambling to initiate this "English corner" and I really thank you for your encouragements. I hope this will be a success and that people will feel at home here! Things are moving slowly but moving undoubtedly! Beside the Canada coordination, there are now two coordinations in the States. Please do not hesitate to advertise this new English corner! Wish you the best!

I realise it is sometime since your posting, but I have just been informed of AI and have joined now and felt I had to write to contribute. I am so pleased to have found such a fantastic opportunity to learn and share thoughts to help our horses. Thanks to some English riders who live locally I will hopefully be able to broaden our experiences. As an event rider in the uk (many moons ago!)and a BHS instructor I have come across many thoughts and opinions in my time and have often been frustrated and horrified at times especially by the opinions of professionals. So I am very much looking forward to 2008 and learning as much as possible.

Welcome Suzanne,
Vincent has been doing sterling service to try to keep this corner going.I do my best to read the French posts but am frustrated as to how much information and learning passes me by.
It is very good to hear from you. This is a wonderful organization.
Sandy.

dear all,

just wanted to say that I have been reading this forum for quite some time now and that it really insprires me, I am able to read french but unfortunately not eloquent enough to write in french, so it would be great if more english-speaking people came to write here!
