Hello to all, there is a post on the french forum of Allege which concerns the work of Anja Beran in Germany.
Have any of you seen her DVD "Elegant Dressage Training - The Art of Classical Dressage Training"? Or done any training with her?
As Catherine Poder says in her post, Anja Beran is as close to Nuno Oliveira's way of training that you will see today. If you go onto the french forum you will find a link under Philippe's post on this subjet that will show you a couple of minutes of her work, apologies but I don't know how to copy a link from the french forum to this one! Or go onto YouTube and search on her name.
In her DVD she shows young horses in various stages of work and then devotes the last 20 minutes to the remedial work done with a german Westphalien horse called Flamingo, 8 years old, destined for dressage that had just shut down mentally and physically and had been put in a field and more or less left. She shows how he was at the beginning, then over a 10 month period, his development. It is quite simply . . . beautiful! The result is stunning in all senses. If you haven't seen her work, then put it on your list of things to do . . at the top! Best regards to you all, Valerie

Yes, she is wonderful.

She trains with Manuel Jorge de Oliveira, uncredible master.

Beautiful training !

Thank you Valerie, I was going to post on the French section but it is quite an effort to speak French as beautifully as you speak English!

Yes, I have seen the DVD and have her book, both quite wonderful. I know a young lady who was recently a working student at Frau Beran's and she speaks very highly of her and her horses.

Aha, that's cheating Valerie!! However, I notice you're no slouch with the French either!! I'm afraid mine is still a work in progress and everyone who posts on the French side is so eloquent....makes it even more intimidating.

Hello Trudi, no-one on the french forum has made any remarks on my sometimes very basic faults with french grammar, so go for it Trudi, practise makes perfect as somebody once said! Kind regards, Valerie
