Oktober dem Komitee unter anderem Parteilichkeit und die Verfolgung privater Interessen vor. Dabei bezieht sie sich auf Vorkommnisse während der Olympischen Spiele in Hongkong. Das Richtergremium hatte sich nach der Mannschaftsentscheidung „inoffiziell“ mit Vertretern der vier führenden Teams getroffen, um über die Richternoten zu diskutieren. Das habe gegen die Regeln verstoßen, führt die Präsidentin an. Der Hintergrund der Attacke dürfte freilich ein anderer sein: Der Trainer der niederländischen Nationalmannschaft Sjef Jansen hatte über seinen nationalen Reiterverband unter anderem die Ablösung des deutschen Chefrichters Gotthilf Riexinger verlangt, das Dressurkomitee hatte dem Ansinnen nicht nachgegeben, obwohl Haya ihn unterstützte.

Der Brief der Präsidentin war die Antwort auf ein Schreiben des Komitees vom 3. Oktober. Darin wurde sie um Stellungnahme zu einem Interview gebeten, in dem sie unter anderem gesagt hatte, der Verbleib der Disziplin Dressur im olympischen Programm schon für 2012 in London sei gefährdet. Die Durchführung der Wettkämpfe in Hongkong und die Richterurteile hätten das Internationale Olympische Komitee (IOC) nicht zufrieden gestellt.

Inzwischen hat sich das Exekutiv-Komitee der FEI hinter die Präsidentin gestellt und forderte das Dressurkomitee zum Rücktritt auf. Es habe in wesentlichen Punkten einen Mangel an Flexibilität bewiesen, tadelte der FEI-Vorstand. Es arbeite isoliert und vertrete nicht die Interessen der Dressurgemeinde insgesamt.

Es werde eine Interimslösung gesucht, heißt es in einer FEI-Presseerklärung, um die Dressur zu managen, während die Strategie der Dressur überdacht werde. Die Namen des Interimkomitees würden in Kürze bekannt gegeben.
