For those Allege-Ideal members who were not able to attend the AGM at Saumur....there is a very loyal team of volunteers, working extremely hard behind the scenes to bring this society to the forefront of the Dressage and Horseworld in general.
Our English speaking side of Equestrianism is much larger than France, so perhaps it is time that we bought more to help Allege-Ideal in it's quest for the Ideal Equitation.
If you have strong opinions on Dressage competition at the moment and how it is progressing (or not), if you are show jumpers or Eventers or Western riders then do put your opinions and questions on this forum.
The French speaking part of the forum has started a section whereby members can recommend good trainers and/or put fellow members in touch with other like-minded people....Pictures can be posted onto the site of your horses and others.
Hopefully, if there are enough of us English speaking Allege members - then this will become an actuality for us also!
This is a site for the Amateur and the Professional, trying to bring the world together to speak up for our friend the horse!

Samantha and Suzanne, I am very interested in forging some links between the British and French classical communities here in France. I'm afraid I have only just seen this as I rarely visit AI due to the fact that so few of us post in English. I will check in more frequently now and hope we may have some fruitful conversations/discussions. All the best Trudi

Hi Trudie, really look forward to nattering with you. Sometimes I too cannot always read the postings as life, horses and work keep you so busy that the time passes too quickly. Still whenever we do catch up it will be great to talk horses and lightness. best wishes, Suzanne

Hi Trudie!

As I met Suzanne and Samantha in Saumur, I also wish to
"keep up" this link between us and promise to be more present on the english forum!

We may find a solution to traduct more often and faster the main topics posted in french.

Ideas???

Hello Catherine and Suzanne,

I am very heartened to receive such a rapid response! I will certainly be popping back here regularly now, especially as I am just about to bring my two PRE's back into work.....so lots of inspiration will be needed!
Sadly Catherine, my translating is fine for myself but I doubt good enough for the job but I will put some thought into it.

i don't think the deal is to translate the french forum into english but to develop the actions of AI in/with the english speaking community.

to have events outside of france and to have more members who would be eager to exchange ideas on the english forum.

anyway, if you need translations, i could help (but a native english speaker needs to check after me !)

cheers-

Hello Trudie and Catherine,Hope you both well. Just a quick question regarding a breeding matter. I am serious about breeding horses with classical training in mind for the future. The clinic at Saumur being very instrumental in my descision. I have discussed with Sylvia Loch which stallions could be best suited to my broodmares with the future of classical training in mind; Sylvia helpfully thought that a Luso x arab stallion with my very light TB mares would be an ideal possibility. I appreciate her time taken in replying and wonder if any one knows of some stallions of this type. I have a foal due anyday now and am so excited to see the little miracle! Forgive me for asking but thought that the more likeminded people I ask then the more chance I have of finding the wonderful stallion for the future. Many thanks. Suzanne

Suzanne,

Good luck with the foal!

I know a couple of Luso stallion owners in my area. I know one had a small pure bred black stallion who was delightful, his owner being a classical trainer himself as well as a big breeder. I will ask and feedback if I have any information.

We had a wonderful chestnut colt; both mum and foal doing great. I would be very interested in knowing more about the black stallion; Even if too late for this year then its a long term project so would love to know more when you find out some info. Thank you. taking one of the TB mares to the National Stud this week to receive AI from an Andalusian called SOL Jaf. The mare who has had her foal will wait so next year we are searching for the right stallions; Any advice and information on PRE's would be avidly appreciated. Thank you again. Suzanne
