Hello Suzanne, I'm presuming that you live in France, as I do. I'm not far from Biarritz. Can recommend that you look at the following site for spanish stallions:
www.pure-spanish-horse-spain.com
these are a group of private breeders, their site speaks for themselves. They are based near Jerez.
Good luck with your breeding programme. You might also wish to look at what Sylvain and Ingrid Massa are doing, they breed PSL but have started crossing Trakhener stallions with Lusitanian mares to try and produce the 'ideal' dressage horse. Best wishes, Valerie
PS if you are in the UK, the spanish people have recently sold a beautiful stallion called Bambu to a lady in the UK who has him standing at stud and is competing him in dressage, there is a link to Bambu's site from the Spanish site.

Small world Valerie...Bambu is owned by a friend of mine in the UK but Suzanne is based in France so I'm not sure he would be a possibility. He is absolutely lovely though and here is his direct link http://www.bambu-xx.com/

Suzanne, glad to hear it all went well and that you have a chestnut colt, pics???

This is the luso breeder in the Limousin, Monsieur Fabre, he is a delightful chap and very knowledgeable. I think the black stallion was called napolitano?? Here is his site.

Hello Trudy, it is a small world indeed! Where are you living? I have a "fully-papered" Lusitano stallion, he didn't get his reproduction licence in France though as his head is straight and his limbs are rather fine for the breed. Apart from that he is quite a "baroque" model. If I've managed it, there might just be a photo of him attached!

Suzanne, where my horse is stabled there is another Lusitano stallion who got his reproduction licence two years ago. He is 1m66 tall, grey, beautiful head, +70% Viega lines. If this could be of interest to you at some time, I could pass you the owner's details. Hope all is well with the foal and mare.

Hi Valerie, I'm in Aquitaine, North Dordogne. Can't see the picture, perhaps you can try again, I'd love to see him. Trudi

Somehow it put my picture in the quote box and I thought I was being so clever, oops!!

Hello again, well I guess I need a lesson on how to post my photos! If you go to my website, there is a carousel of photos in the page called Photo Gallery, look at the carousel in the middle "Mountagnès Farm", the only one in black and white is myself and Orfeu, standing beside him, both looking at what's happening outside.

Is your horse spanish? You make a lovely couple!

Hello all, sorry I have for the lack of response. Both my computers have been broken for good by the french electricity power surges here in the forest. I have missed so much! Using a neighboursto catch up. Thank you for your responses. The colt now eight weeks old is doing wonderfully. Such fantastic long sound limbs. I will get some pics to post as soon as new pc is here. Called him Le Jinsky Dancer after sme of his bloodlines.
Our other mare we decided to cover by AI at the Haras Nationaux to Sol Jaf their Elite Lusitano stallion. As time was against us this year to explore other options. He is a lovely horse. Unfortunately she conceived twins and although we tried to keep one they both had to be terminated. A sad result but a necessary decision. C'est la Vie, not to be for her next year but in many ways it will give us the time to follow up your very kind leads and we will be ready for next year. Must say the sites are very interesting and we shall deliberate over making the right decisions. Will keep you posted and yes what a small world as I have seen the Bambu link too. So much great information to absorb. Many thanks again from a very very hot France.
Best wishes Suzanne
